Through grants from LCMS World Relief and Human Care, partners respond to people’s physical needs, as efficiently and appropriately as possible.
Water projects, agricultural efforts, and medical programs are just a few examples of projects that LCMS World Relief and Human Care considers for funding. Three types of grants are available: Emergency, Relief, and Development. Requirements for each may differ slightly and may also be adapted to special situations.
To learn the types of questions on the grant application, click here. As part of the grant application process, you will need to submit a program budget showing anticipated funding from LCMS World Relief and Human Care and other sources.
Applicants may receive one grant during any 12-month funding term. Applicants who wish to request funding for subsequent years must submit new grant applications each year. Successive grants, if approved, are usually awarded in declining amounts.
Reporting is required for all LCMS World Relief and Human Care grants. Funding may be cancelled if grantees do not submit required reports. Regular reporting is also essential to extended grant funding and consideration for future grant awards.
